The Lodge

Woestalleen, from the dutch translation meaning ‘Remotely Alone’ provides some insight into the location of this lodge. Perched up on the top of the Waterberg provides guests with magnificent views of the reserve and together with a deck overlooking a private watehole where lion, elephant and other game frequently visit, makes this lodge definitely worth a visit.

The Chalets
The lodge consists of two adjacent chalets with 2 bedrooms a piece, both en-suite, each with a connected patio, ideally suited for families, and a main bedroom accessed from the main lodge. All bedrooms can easily be converted from twins into king size double beds providing guests with the flexibility to accommodate different sleeping arrangements.

Chalets are serviced daily.
Catering

We provide our guests with the option of bringing their own food and drinks, which our resident chef will happily prepare to your specific requirements, or alternatively we will send you a sample of menus and you can decide what you would like and we will cater for you. Please note that the fully catered option requires at least a week's notice so that we can obtain all the necessary items before your arrival.
Facilities

Woestalleen Lodge has its own private waterhole situated right in front of the lodge providing unparalleled game viewing directly from the main lodge viewing deck and the boma. Other facilities include a swimming pool with lapa and deck chairs, boma area with firepit and braai area, main lodge with large fireplace and dining area, a covered patio with seating and a separate outdoor patio with loungers.

Please note that the lodge is not fenced. During the day you can walk unaccompanied between your chalet and the main lodge. We however recommend that guests request a member of staff escort all guests to and from chalets at night. Families with young children must be vigilant at all times.
Safari Game Drives
Included in your stay at the lodge are morning and evening Safari game drives together with your personal accredited and experienced game ranger. The morning game drives are preceded by a coffee or cup of tea and a rusk and depart at a time that is convenient for you and your group. You will get a chance to stretch your legs during the morning drive which is accompanied with tea, coffee and muffins.

Afternoon game drives include sundowners in the bush together with your snacks and favorite drink to watch the African sun bid its farewell for another day.
Welgevonden Game Reserve

Rolling wooded mountains cut by deep rocky ravines and majestic gorges make Welgevonden Game Reserve an evocative piece of Africa.
